As you touched a lot of lives including mine. Your kindhearted and your philanthropic nature were a estament of where my mom got those pious features from. As a worthy role model, the inspirations you inculcated in us will be eternal. Uncle Chris, as you journey home today to be with the Almighty and All-knowing; may your big-hearted soul rest easy! Deacon was an amazing attraction to me whenever I listened to him speak especially on national and faith issues. His oratory was simply fantastic and his passion for whatever subject he spoke on was compelling. I remember my encounter with National Standard where I read about him for the first time. Little did I know Deacon Barr. was the father of our beloved Dr. Rukky until at his passing. May the soul of Deacon rest firmly in the care of the Lord. May the family receive the requisite grace accorded by God to carry on the mighty marvelous works Deacon left behind. TNI Benue/Nassarawa Team, my family and I stand in prayer with our dear Esteemed Dr. Rukky and the rest other members of the family, associates and friends of Deacon Barr. Akiri.
